I’m sorry if this question has been asked before, but I keep getting conflicting answers.

I plan on running 17x9 -12 offset wheels with 265/70/17 falken wildpeaks.

with the negative offset, will I have any rubbing? I’m in stock suspension and don’t plan on doing any lifting for a bit. I have a 2020 SR DCSB 4x4

You’re probably going to rub. I rubbed the mud flaps with a -10 offset 8.5” wheel with 265’s Wildpeaks....and I have a 2” lift. An alignment and mud flap trim fixed my rub. If the wheels you want come in a 8-8.5” wide wheel with 0 offset (4.5 to 4.75 backspace) you may be ok but still may need to trim or remove mud flaps (if you have them). It’s the 9” wide wheel and -12 offset (Wheel poke) that’s causing potential rubbing.
You may be able to fit the wheels you want and 265’s wildpeaks if you can get the “+caster” maxed out (Positive) with an alignment and remove mud flaps if you have them. The added +caster will push your front wheels forward and help clear the back of the wheel well. If you do try to get an alignment, you will need to find someone competent with Toyota’s and willing to do an alignment to “your liking”. It took me several attempts (toyota dealers were zero help) before I found someone where I live.
