They knocked off $2000 which isn't bad and was the best I could find meeting my vehicle criteria without going way out of the area. I don't have time for that.
Lots of others didn't want to deal or weren't as competitive. This guy was on the ball from day 1 and when challenged did beat another offer from a fleet manager.
Took one last whack at it today and he kind of whimpered and said that's the best we can do. Ended up getting a lot more truck than what I started out looking for.

Price: $37,810 + TTL
OTD: $40,608.74

Rebates available on top of the deal: $500 cash back or $1000 applied to TFS APR. We'll see what happens there.

I didn't need the LED but I won't kick them out of bed either, it's cool. I really wanted the Blonde Spotting technology, that was mandatory as was the color.
Pleased to end up with a TRD OR vs the SR5 4x4 I started with. -Much- better truck for another ~$2500. FWIW the SR5 DCSB 4x4 w/ TP was going to be $38,149 out the door.

Good eye! Nope, not a chance. Used a clay mit and the 3M only. That bottle of Meguiars is over 20 years old when I used to paint bikes.

In today’s craziness maybe, but I paid that price ($39k) for a fully loaded 20 Cement OR in Feb ($45k msrp). I’d wait for inventory to stabilize unless you are dead set on upgrading to an OR now.

 

Just put in a down payment on a 2021 TRD Pro (Midnight Black). Tried shopping around some of the local dealers in my area (Buffalo, NY), but nobody wanted to budge more than $500 off MSRP. Found a dealer about 1.5 hours from my house who had one allocated and was willing to do Costco pricing. With options, the truck came in at an MSRP of $48,853.00. Costco discount was $2,379.00 (4.8%). The truck is scheduled to be built 10/13, so should have it by mid-November.

 

Well I finally pulled the trigger. The offer I posted earlier in this thread for under $40k didn't hold up once I walked in. They tried adding another $2,300 in extras and wouldn't budge so I walked. Second dealer wouldn't honor $40.8k.

Ended up going with the fleet manager I first talked to, HIGHLY recommend finding one at your Toyota dealer and getting a quote from them. They are no BS and work on volume sales. I reached out to 63 other dealers asking for a quote, maybe 35ish responded with a no-bs offer of what I asked for. All were for MSRP. I then sent out a counter-offer to those 35 with the fleet manager quote ($41.8k), only 3 would match/responded, 2 beat it. Those 2 offered $41.8 and $39.8k. Both of those fell through. Fleet manager at the start offered the lowest and was straight to the point.
