It’s running. Some noises that I didn’t have with the old engine and a bit of a weird idle, but It could be that I was just used to my old engine that had problems. I’m not sure. It runs fine and has a warranty. I would just make sure that the shop that is installing it is really good because the warranty doesn’t cover install errors from the shop. Also have to have a receipt for an oil change every 3-4K miles to keep the warranty which is annoying since I always do that stuff myself. I’m trying to find a shop that could write a receipt for me. The shop that installed it said they’d do it for me but they tried to screw me over on the pricing when I came to pick the truck up and it ended up with me not being allowed back, but I saved $600 :D. I’d say if you are able to find a good engine from a wrecked taco that’d be much better, there aren’t really any in SoCal by me so jasper was the move.

Previous owner decided he was tired of doing oil changes so the truck was neglected, unbeknownst to me, when I bought it. It ran for about 10k more miles before a rod found its way through my engine block. I was stuck with either selling it for a few shillings or emptying my bank account on the new engine. I decided to go with the engine since I figured most of the other components would last for a very long time. It was the guys family and work truck so I knew it wasn't really driven hard or taken off-road much.

Let me rephrase that, I'm responsible with my debt... was gonna say financially responsible but I don't think I can say that with a straight face. Thank you! It's definitely a work in progress and will probably never be complete cause there ALWAYS another thing you can do to it.

Lookin good so far. Do you have any more pics of the 305/70/17s on the truck? That's the same size and tire i am probably going with pretty soon. I've been having trouble finding any pics
