I'm not big into waxing, but just purchased a 2020 white Tacoma SR and want it to be protected as best as possible before our Northern NY winter. 2 questions:
1.Can I wax it now? Has about 200 miles on it.
    2. Best and easiest wax to use.
    Thanks

Yes you can wax it now. Not sure how mileage would affect it lol. I just use Meguires wax from any auto supply store. I do my truck once in the fall and once in the spring.

I did mine right after I got it in July. It was just delivered from the factory the day before I picked it up on a Wednesday. I was waxing it on the weekend.
Some people told me to clay it first. I felt it was too aggressive. I used an iron remover, followed up with a good hand wash, dried with a synthetic shammy.
I like the Absorber shammy. Then I put on two coats of Meguires hybrid ceramic wax.
I definitely wanted it waxed and protected for winter.
Modern auto paints don't take long to cure. You can wax by the time it gets to you.

Use some Blackfire Paint Sealant on it, and the other thing you really should be more concerned about is getting the frame treated with Woolwax or Fluid Film.

Yes being in the rust belt too I'm planning to do fluid film too. I have 6 cans and the tube on order from Amazon.. that's a excellent idea being farther north.

Thanks for all the input. Now I just have to do it!
I actually paid the dealer for the undercoating. Yeah - way too much but one less thing I have to worry about. I've owned 2 other Tacomas and both lasted 8 Adirondack winters before rust underneath became a serious issue. Also never waxed and the paint on the previous 2 was in great shape when traded in. I worry that paint isn't what it used to be. I'm retired now and have time to wax!!

Haha i used to work a full time and part time job. I still found time to wax my ride 2x a year and change my own oil and other filters, flush antifreeze and sometimes even do a brake job. It saved me money and i don't like driving something that looks bad in or out.

I did like the Meguires hybrid ceramic wax. It was one of the easiest liquid waxes I've used.

If you are in the northeast then do yourself a favor and hit your frame with Fluid Film too.

Get the hose that fits on the liquid filim cans and run it inside the frame and interbody. Coat generosity

Definitely you can and should go ahead and wax it. Just use a good quality carnuba wax and not a cleaner wax. I like Meguires gold glass paste.

I park mine in the garage and the heat from the motor melts that snow, ice and salt onto the floor! Just did a coat of Nu Finish from HF $7.00 and its easy to apply . Living in the North and loving it, just add another log to the fire!

You may want to consider doing a ceramic or graphene coating. I bought a 2020 a few weeks ago and one of the first things I did was to clay and do a graphene coating.

Wife just got a 2021 corolla last week . And I already clayed it and waxed it . There was a lot of crap in the paint. The clay made is so nice!

Decontamination first! And also use an iron remover. Then wax, sealant, or your choice.

NY winters- either Griots 3-1 or any of the Collinites.
