Mine used to be the same way. I’ve got no issues cutting the tires loose now if I want to.

I did some simple math to get how much I'd need to increase each cell in order to make it linear. Here is the full table. Realized I didnt have that on the last post.

It was posted earlier this year. I am not utilizing Vf Tuner, just trying to help.

I’m pumped to give this a try along with your per gear tables. Thanks for posting it!

That looks like one hell of a tune by the name lol

Did you make your airload tables smooth like that also?

I’m a little confused as far as gear locking goes. Is gear locking (S mode, ECT on) where you floor it and it doesn’t downshift, back?

Are you 04A61? Would the ECU ID technically matter (significantly) as long as the transmission is the same? Meaning I may not want to use your values exactly if you have a different ID, but I could use the same approach to arrive at values more suitable/correct for my ID.

04B04 according to his file name, if I had to guess.

Did you do anything to the 2nd map too(accelerator-request to airload) or did you leave that one as is?

Not mine. But I also increased the values in my shift schedule. Sounds like you ought to do the same.

I took all of the locking and unlocking S2 values to 255 and raised the 4th gear lockup point. 4th gear lock happens between 30-35 under light throttle, which I liked. My 4-5 shift does take it down around 1100 at 40, but this has not been an issue for my small tire/light weight truck. It was very responsive in downshifting at what I felt like was the right throttle input. I also thought the 5-6 upshift was a little late and the 6-5 downshift was a little premature, but this could also be due to the performance tune I started with.

Edit to add- I'm now chasing the rumble strip upon decel. Thought I had gotten it out in a previous tune but now it is back. It seems to be less prominent while in S mode, but happens in D, S4, S3 and S2 while decelerating from 25-20.

ended up being unable to add this, as the ECU didn't like it, it didn't work as expected.

Hmmm. Interesting. 2WD are usually pretty easy to spin the tires. I will be interested to see what people come up with and test

Do we know why the tranny would not shift up when ACIS is activated. Won't upshift or even drop RPMs with foot of the pedal.
I'd like to fix this annoying thing. The last.
Works fine when accelerating on the ramp working gears up, but not when kicks back from 5th to 4th.

I’m on 04A61 and I made my values match those to test. I will let you know how it works. I don’t see how it wouldn’t work as long as it’s the same map and transmission. But we’ll see

Edit: but then again I thought the same about the TC tables

@Mooseditty17 or @ForceOfG can you post screenshots of the original 4th gear TC locking values in your file? The 04B80 2 and S2 logic seems to be reversed, with partial locking being requested 7 higher than a full lock. Maybe I am not fully understanding the partial/full lock concept?

2018+ trucks have extra shift maps / torque converter controls vs 16/17. Just so you guys don't get too confused by this

Can we get a description of when the maps are used?
