November 11 (Veteran’s Day) through November 13.

Meet in the parking lot of Blackbeards restaurant at Noon on the 11th

The run is about 60 miles and will take around 3 hours to complete.

We plan on camping at the Mansfield Cut.

All are invited to come (you need a high clearance 4x4 to make the run).

No RSVP needed, just show up.

Just saw the post, making that run is hella fun! I've done it 2X in 2wd on low tide. The last 5 miles is closed from my understanding, GLDD is dredging the cut until 03/21. There's a cut through the dunes a good way down and estensive trail that runs along the lagoon. Pretty desolate and unique area. Good times

 

I've done it several times in my 5 lug , at low tide.
I wouldn't try it at high tide without 4X4 though

 

Because of the dredging and beach restoration projects:

North Padre Island instead of South Padre Island.
Plus there is a lot more beach to drive down at North Padre.
