Going to have a shop evacuate my A/C system. Then I'm going to change out my A/C compressor myself. Do I need to add the recommended oil amount to the compressor or will they do it at the shop when I go to have it recharged?
I'm mostly worried about having defrost for the winter then I'll worry about having A/C but if I need to take care of it all now I will. Thanks for any input.

Why are you changing the AC compressor? Typically when one goes bad it contaminates the whole system, necessitating more replacement parts.
