    I took out the tweeter on the Tacoma and noticed an extra set of pins on the truck and I don’t know what goes there.
    In the pic it’s to the right of the big connector

    Modified the level of gas in the tank
    There's is a photoelectric cell for auto headlights in that area...not sure if your trim model has it

    Your welcome...SR prolly doesn't. It's identifiable as a small plastic dome right in front of the passenger speaker. Prolly same wiring harness despite no photocell

    Interesting that its prewired for it, makes me wonder if it could be retrofitted. Imagine you'd need to replace the column shifter deal as well

    I notice in both your pictures you showing the big plug and not the smaller plug. The big one is the tweeter plug, but the small one is like everyone said as the light sensor.

    They started doing that in the 1980s. Cheaper to make one cable per model than multiple cables as the US manufacturers did. Back then it allowed Toyota to sell really good cars for less.
