I installed the black Energy bushings (same hardness as the red but not as flashy) in my stock 2nd gen UCA and LCA. They do ride a bit firmer but that is what I was looking for as well as the longevity. I am very pleased with the results. Read up on their installation as it is a labor intensive operation to do the UCA/LCA's. You need to burn out the old bushings, clean and reuse the stock hardware and reinstall. Not for the feint of heart.

I do a bunch of odd restoration projects so it shouldn't be an issue! But thats what im looking for too, just can't decide on black or red haha

Do you guys recommend putting ES bushings in for the rack and pinion + sway bar? I will be replacing the R&P soon with a new one and I'm not sure if it was worth taking out the new bushings that come with it?

I replaced my steering rack bushings and really couldn’t tell a difference. Then again, I don’t drive the truck that often so I’m not as in-tune with it as I used to be. They were relatively cheap so why not.

They are pretty inexpensive and it seems like an easy enough job to switch out. Thanks for your input.
