Can you get painted bumper caps from dealer?

Went to dealer and parts guy told me they only come primed and chrome. Really?!?
I’ve had miserable experiences with this dealer’s parts department before. So I wanted to ask the taco cloud. . .

 

You might have to go with aftermarket.

Tacovinyl sells oem painted bumper caps for a good price, and I've heard a lot of good things about these as well.

 

Oof. Might look good until very minor contact scratches through it though.

It's common for parts to need painted, since color match needs to be done. Vehicles with the same paint code will weather differently, making pre-painted parts useless.

 

When I needed a new mirror cap for my rav4, the only option was to get one thats painted at the factory. Though that might be more limited to mirrors since they are very easily broken.

 

I understand color matching, but these are trucks not sports cars. . .

Can always take yours off. Sans them prime them then paint them. I think dupicolor makes color matching

 

Thanks for the link, I'm going to look into them because it's cheaper than I was quoted to have bumper caps painted.
