    Tacoma World,

I’m on my second Taco but new to the Off-road build game.
Doing my build in phases and starting with the suspension.

Thoughts on a Fox Factory 2.5 DSC front coil over and DSC rear vs a King setup?

Would I need to upgrade the leaf springs as well?

My endgame is a bed rack with a tent but not super heavy overland setup.

    Thank you all!

Thats a very good setup for beginner off-roading and should be able to do most things you throw at it. I would at the very least get an add-a-leaf if you put a bed rack and tent, but would strongly recommend a full leaf pack to prevent sagging and better overall performance. Talk to @HeadStrong Off-Road and they'll answer all your questions and set you up for exactly what you need. Fox or King will both be adequate and it pretty much comes down to color preference, people will go back and forth on which is better and there's no correct answer.

Why do so many people think they need to "build out" their trucks immediately? If you just use it as-is for a while (at least a year), you'll learn what you actually need. You already have a TRD OffRoad. Just buy the bed-rack and RTT. If it sags after a few months, install and add-a-leaf and call it a day.

Wanna set up for success! I’ve done enough basic stuff to know the limits of the truck

My personal ideology, especially since my truck is my DD like most on here, is that I'd rather overbuild the truck and never reach it's full potential than underbuild it and end up braking shit and end up in a shitty situation
