@levie125 agreed on the half enchilada being the best one ride to do. That's probably my favorite moab ride, even more than WE. You could probably start at the top of hazard county if you can swing a little more time away.

Depending on your abilities and interests, ahab can be done in about two hours as well.

If you want a real quick ride that's close to town, pipe dream is a pretty good time.

I think I will be able to squeeze in at least the half enchilada on day one and then snag pipe dream or ahab on the last day. Getting a hotel was a smidge difficult because everyone has the same idea as us but we made it out not too poor.

I’d say mag7, Navaho loop, or Ahab for the second day. Bartlett wash is also a blast. Not a trail, just a giant sandstone natural formation that is full of whatever you want. Picture a huge natural skatepark.

Can't speak to hotels since we always camp. Happy to share some dispersed options if you're interested.

    not enough.
plus one for the half enchilada. especially if you get a free shuttle for it.

other rides I would suggest is navajo loops and klondike areas (surprisingly good). Those are a little out of town. Bar M is much closer to town and more easily accessible if you're looking for a quick one.

as for hotels, there's so many new hotels being built up that I don't think you can go wrong. I have plenty of good spots for disperse camping though. :)

@levie125 also...the main road into town from the north has all sorts of construction going on it. so plan your timing accordingly. it's a complete madhouse. It's really hard to make any left hand turns and in some cases, downright impossible. So again, plan ahead.

Bought this old lady out of a shed about a month ago and got her freshened up! Probably spent too much money overall but should be a great winter Windrock beater!

Most notably I deviated from Maxxis. Continental was the only available 26" DH tires, looking forward to trying them

My current favorites are the WTB Ranger+ and Trek's own Bontrager XR2's (formerly Chupacabra). I have the Ranger+ on my Krampus, and they roll fast af on all the dirt in my area. Surly's Dirt Wizards are ok, but I really hope they don't become the only option out there.

I saw that traffic on google maps! I may just come up from the south or come in on 128. Although coming in on 128 means you still get a little bit of it.

Can someone explain to me what makes world champs so special? I asked this question on Pinkbike and it confirmed my suspicions. It is no different than any other race format but the winner gets a rainbow jersey, right? You can win the entire DH race series and not be called the world champ unless you win this one race?

Aside from my skepticism around the prom festivities that is World Champs, I'm pumped to see more racing.

Does swapping dropper levers require replacing the cable or any other tid bits? Or is it pretty much a swap out of levers?

usually just levers. However, depending on how frayed your cable is, it doesn't hurt to replace it.
