When this is over, you can find an AR for half that. Stupid people panicked and bought a gun they didn't need and couldn't afford, then they find out they need money more than a gun they will never shoot.

Anyhoo ribs turned out really good. My friend was here to eat and he is a certified KCBS judge! Ask him, he will tell ya lol. And he went to bbq skool! He was very skeptical of how I smoked them but said they were really good, and they were. He had 2nds and 3rds. High praise from him.
Awesome day light wind and 80f. We sat under a tree with table, chairs, and everything we needed. And bbq sauce, it was never used. That is a compliment in itself. Should have took a pic, but the cook had a few cocktails while cooking lol.

I want something cheap and basic. I’ve always wanted a cop gun like the ones on movies. Quad rail, foregrip, flashlight, and an EOTech is the most I’ll go with it

This will be over one day, just like Sandy Hook and all the other shootings. This time its Covid. It will happen again. When prices come down buy what guns you need/want and enough ammo x2 to tide you over.

Don't take this wrong, but have you ever shot an AR? Just buy an inexpensive 1 and shoot it. Then shoot it some more. Repeat. THEN decide what tacticool stuff you want on it. And I can't emphasize this enough. Pay attention to the trigger. Not much creep, not gritty feeling, break cleanly and consistently at something south of 6 lbs? No, not on an entry level AR. So buy an aftermarket drop in trigger. It's so easy to put in even I did it with fat fingers and shaky hands lol. You'll be glad you did. My drop in cost $120, money well spent. You can drop a LOT more money on a trigger ifn ya want.
All this is not to make me out as an expert guy on ARs. I have 1. Well 2 if you count M16s in the Army in the 70s.

 

I’ve shot 2 different 5.56 AR’s. One was a PSA pistol. Both shot just fine in my opinion. I want it mostly for novelty purposes and bragging rights... will be a recreational use only gun for the most part I guess

 

Well, there ya go! I've been looking for an AR10 coz I have a lot of .308 ammo, but no gun in .308.
Prices are crazy, or out of stock. I'll wait.

ARs are not novelty guns, everyone and their grandma has one.
For bragging rights you need a social bbq 1911.
