'New to me' tacoma...its time to start thinking about getting shocks re-built (15k miles). It came with a set of ADS 2.5" remove reservoir coilovers up front and the ADS piggyback reservoirs on the rear. Online, new seems to be about $2300-$2400 new all the way around.

As it's my DD, I'm hesitant to send them off for a rebuild while my truck sits on blocks. So looking at going with a new set of kings and selling the ADS.

Looking for help in fairly pricing the ADS for sale as is, I honestly don't know where to start.

It's not time for a rebuild yet, but will be this winter or spring I'd assume. The body's could also use a refresh.

Can I get some inputs on a fair asking price as is? I figure someone with the knowhow could rebuild them, media blast and ceremony them and save a pretty penny over new, just not sure where to start. Thanks in advance.

Send a pm to get mileage at the last re-build...bodies could definitely use media blasting. Another option was ADS quoted me at $500 for brand bodies all the way around...my gamelan was media blast and anodize or cerakote. Going to pull the rear leafs and clean them up myself.

The bodies are steel so you can either Steel-it, cerakote, powder coat.

I can rebuild and recoat those if you wanted to rebuild what you have and keep it local. I have every thing in stock to do them and will be much cheaper than buying new Kings.

Would you mind shooting me a quote and turn time in a PM...assume cerakote is best to keep temps down? Still leaning towards selling as is, if I can get them priced right, but open to considering re-building them locally too

I may use that steel-it idea on my UCA/LCAs though, never heard of it before, looks great.

They shouldn't need to be rebuilt yet unless you do some serious offroading.

Unless every mile of that 15k was spent traveling at speed in rough terrain, you definitely don't need a rebuild.

I wouldn't expect anything less than an interval of 50k. Could probably get 100k of on road driving as long as your seals hold.

    Thanks fellas

Edited to 25k miles on them, factoring the mileage conversion for larger tires from what the ODO reads as well as the mileage I've put on the truck recently. Previous owner was a much more serious offroader than I. I spend most of my time on FS roads or or other mtn trails getting to hunting/scouting spots.

All that being factored in, 25k miles and pics posted above...any suggestions on a fair asking price if I do put them up for sale? Figuring this wont happen until Dec after hunting season is completely over, assuming by then may 30k on them at best. No clue where to start...most of the older ADS posts have sale price removed. Somewhere between $1000 and $1300 or so? I'd like to offer a fair deal without giving them away
