Long day for such simple projects... but.

Antenna mount is fixed! (It required several power tools thanks to one dumb bolt.)

I always remember that any simple job is just one broken or stripped bolt away from being a several hour job :annoyed:.

You forgot to add the fancy pic Brian took at the end of the night!

True Story, I still can't believe that thing snapped like that, we just put it in last month... :frusty:

I didn't see his picture on fb until after I posted lol. But I totally stole it for the gram! I should've gotten my camera out and gotten some shots, it was a great nite for it!

    Thanks Guys!!

Though a few people got real use to the no cap look realllly quick (two days) and like the look without it much better (spare and highlift showing did look sick). I don't think the understand my whole use for it. I am super excited that this is finally done now!

Next up: Tuesday is the alarm system upgrade, then just need a nice day to take the cap back off, flip it over and put the Noico 80 mil deadening material onto the interior roof of the cap, flip it back over, and mount the Thule rails and put it back on the truck to patiently wait till I can order the rear rack!!!! (And yes, I did get a bottle of touch up paint from Maaco for when I go to drill/mount the thule rails)

So a few weeks ago I caught a solid pot hole. Got home. Checked a few things for damage. Didn’t really notice anything significant other then my rear spring boot was loose.

Today... there’s some significant drip spots at my rear passenger wheel. Crawled under to take a look. I can’t tell exactly where it’s coming from but there’s fluid all over the rear shock.

I’ve got a photo shoot at 3pm today up in Doylestown so gonna limp up there and hopefully once I’m done figure out what is leaking/ broken.

Also. Since I’m at it, and will likely need to replace them. Here’s what Marie recommended:

“As far as your rear goes, there are quite a few options of rear shocks to run with the OME Dakar. You can run the OME nitrocharger sport rear shocks. They were designed to be used with the OME Dakar pack but have a conservative extended length so will limit the droop of the pack. The upside of that is, since they are the limiting factor, longer brake lines are not necessary. Other than that you can run the RCD/Bilstein extended length 5100's, the extended length ADS’s, Elka’s, Fox’s, and Icon’s rear shocks each have a longer extended and collapsed length, since that is the case you will have to run longer rear brakelines and may have to modify your factory bump stops in order to hit thosebefore you fully collapse the shock. Kings can be run as well but they willlimit the droop some but also will not require the longer brake lines. There are also the Bilstein 5160's which have an extended length as well and come with their own brake line extension brackets. You could also run the Bilstein 5125's but since those are a universal shock you would have to look at the extended and collapsed lengths and see which onesyou prefer. Also, since those are universal, they would not have vehiclespecific valving and may needmodifications (bushings etc) to fit properly.”

Any recommendations from you guys would be greatly appreciated right now.
