Playing hookie tonight. Just finished my axe and shovel mount. Folding bow saw is next then my RotoPax, fire extenguisher and OEM bed lights and my Tacoma's bed will be pretty much the way that I want it. Still have my HiLift storage box and base to get in there as long as it has a clean look to it once mounted. Forgot about my Mobtown locking cubby covers.
Will take and post some pics if I can figure out why pictures don't want to upload. o_O

Check the BST forum and local marketplace. Many of these are up as people replaced them with the pro tail lights. Where are you located? I have a set sitting in my garage.

Gawd John, it was months ago, and anywhere on TW.
I finally decided to try it.
    I noticed a difference immediately.
It does not interfere with opening or closing the doors.
But I would recommend that if you live where the rain can freeze that you spray/wipe on some silicone on the rubber.
    I do that annually anyway.

John, PM me your address and I send you the tubing I have left over and you can just put it in/on.
And if you don't like it then tell everyone.

But if you do then you owe me a beer.

No lift yet, just stock TRD pro which is supposedly 1". The RXT leaf pack is configurable from 1.125 to 2.75 though depending on weight and setup. I have a wescott spacer/block combo for 1.5"up front if it comes to that, I'm hoping not to though.

Had to ride out to one of my job sites this morning.. had some type A silt fence fail miserably over night. Just what I wanted to be doing on a Sunday morning!

I recently picked up a DV8 Off Road skid plate for $50 and installed it today. The seller also had some TRD Off Road emblems that he gave me so I de-badged the OEM Tacoma and V6 emblems, got rid of the TRD Off Road stickers on the side and replaced them with a more subdued TRD Off Road emblems on the doors, and on the tail gate. I like the look, especially getting rid of the stickers on the bed.60313FF9-D8F7-4A4F-8627-F167A0670222.jpg

How did you debadge? I debadged my previous truck and ended up with scratches in the clear coat.

Its why I'm sitting on the fence with modding mine, I don't blame people for not investing in vehicles, the winters here are not nice to a vehicle after a few years.

First I cleaned the area very well. I then left the truck out in the sun for an hour (90 degrees), then took some dental floss and broke the emblem from the adhesive at one end, then used a plastic pry tool to work the rest of the emblem off. Once the emblem was off I used Go Be Gone and rolled and pulled the adhesive off with my fingers. Once the bulk of the adhesive was off, I used a microfiber cloth with 70% Isopropyl Alcohol to clean any residue off. Worked like a charm, no scratches at all. After a few days of letting the adhesive on the new emblems cure I will re-wax. A wax wheel would have been nice to have to remove the adhesive, but I couldn’t find my old one, so I worked by hand. The entire time spent to remove all of the emblems and clean was about 45 minutes.

Feb! Though I'm really considering applying elsewhere, as much as a foot in the door and a 12 month residency at the VA sounds amazing as a new grad, the idea of Birmingham, AL, not so much...

Don’t live in Birmingham. Live outside of Birmingham and drive in. Check out the Alabama forum, there are a good many of us around the metro area.

Lots of good food and things to do without much driving time.

Yep, I heard Hoover, Bessemer, Homewood all good areas, trying to not buy but rent, seems apartments are more reasonable than house, was looking at a place in Meadowbrook. And I did drop into the AL section to say hi!

Hoover and Homewood yea. Bessemer, not so much. I’m sure some areas are ok over there.

Trussville, Pelham, Gardendale, Vestavia Hills, are good areas but I wouldn’t live down 280 if you don’t like traffic.
