Overland-Pros Mojave Explorer 1400 Roof Top Tent & Avid bars

Well after a ton of research we decided to go with the OP RTT. I also wanted the Avid Bed Bars. Brandon's design on these seems to be the best for distributing the weight to the top of the bed rails rather than just on the side rail system. His workmanship was great, the fit and finish was perfect. I went the the high-lift mount as well and that works great. The high-lift is up front and out of the way. The RTT mounting spots were in the exact perfect location and the RTT mounted up with no issues.

I went with the 8" bars which put the RTT just about level with the cab which helps keep mileage and range good. Since I put everything in bins, the 3 bars also serve to protect the bins from theft as long as the tailgate is locked.

The RTT is very well made and we are very impressed with it. I can only seem to get one sleeping bag inside and would like to get pillows and other stuff in there so not sure why others are able to get so much in there. The best feature are the skylights. You can unzip the top and have a screen or unzip the screen and just sit there looking up at the stars. It was amazing! They are NOT waterproof so I will have to bring the cover they provide when it rains. Other than that, we are very impressed and happy with the new purchase.
