I went to a CAT Scale at a Flying J this evening on the way home from Picard Lake trail. 2660 lb front axle + 2140 lb rear axle = 4800 lb :D

This is with half a tank of fuel and roughly 70 lb of gear (compressor, chainsaw, rope, strap, water...)

Takes special talent to bend the flange of the brake shoe. Will these be the first General Motors parts on your truck?

It's worse when you go into the water roof-first like @honkonbobo . All the water rushing in around your head after the curtain airbags pop...

Our drums are made by ACDELCO, at least it's stamped on mine... But yeah, takes a special skill to bend those. Hello Toyota hire me for product test and development :boink:

I'll be going with Wagner drums when I service my brakes next year. E-coated all over for rust protection, and machined well enough to achieve balance without the dodgy weld-on weights.

Why replace drums so early? OEM drums last over 100K easy.

The 4800 lb is just the truck, without me on the scales.

I weighed 185 lb this morning, 2 lb lighter than Manuel Ferrara in his prime.
