    6 inch lift
    I was recently hit in the passenger wheel on my 06 Tacoma and found out whoever put the 6 inch lift on my truck before I bought it had cut my frame to install lift and I also have rust damage on frame where I was hit now I was told my truck is on hold at body shop til they contact my insurance who may total it do that or may refuse to pay due to it not being their fault cause frame was previously cut .... anyone have any advice ?

    I've seen one truck written off like this, but its difficult to prove that the cross member being cut would have cause the write off.

    You may need a consult with a lawyer.

    Most drop brackets have reinforcements and you can use that for your case.
