Paint

I have a 2015 Tacoma trd off road. The paint on the side of the truck on the doors isn’t smooth like the pain on the rest of the truck. Does anyone know why? You can barely tell in the pictures but it’s noticeable in person. If you look at the bottom of the picture on the left you can kind of see it.

 

My 07’ isn’t either.
I think it has do with helping with stone chips.
But I honestly don’t know?

 

The bottom portion of the doors and lower rocker panels are covered with Chip Guard to prevent chipping of the paint. Completely normal.

 

The lower portion has an anit chip material under the primer

 

That’s what I was thinking but I wasn’t sure. And I didn’t know to you word it to look it up online.
