I haven't been on here much since I picked up a zr2 in early '18. Loved the ZR2 but I racked up a ton of miles on it and felt like getting into a taco again, also they gave me ridiculous money on trade so here I am. I'm mainly hoping to get some opinions and thoughts along the way and hopefully add some experience as well. I opted for a fairly basic TRD OR knowing that I would customize it to my liking. The goal with this is to have a tastefully modded and very well rounded, capable, daily driver.
So far this is what I've done:
    Ordered:
ADS Level 3 kit from Headstrong with Deaver U402's
    Icon tubular UCA
Demello Baja Bumper bc I like the design and they were the closest to having one ready.
Smittybilt X20 10k (I think) it's on order but I may change it
OEM Audio Reference 500 with dedicated sub amp
Bed Stiffeners from a member on here (can't remember the name offhand)

Things left to order/trying to decide on:
    Wheels and tires
-I like the Analog HD's but I'm torn between the skinny look of a 16x7.5 and the 17x8.5
-I'm not sure what tire size I want to run yet.Open to opinions on this and also info on what will and won't clear control arms
-also open to running stockers but it sounds like I'd need spacers to do so. I don't care to run spacers.
    Keyless Start with app control
-I've seen 2 main options; 12 volt and N2 designs. Idk anything about either one
    Additional Lighting
-leaning heavily towards Baja Designs LP6's
    Rear bumper
    -leaning towards CBI
    Skids
    -leaning towards CBI
    Rocksliders
-custom made bolt on most likely
    Onboard Air
    -arb

In terms of tires it really depends on how you use the truck. 31's will get you most places. If you run true 33's you will need a cmc and will probably want to re gear if you run amor as well. If you don't want to spend the money to make 33's it work then just run 31 inch tires. I would definetely recommend skids and sliders.

yes I agree, skids and sliders are pretty important. I also would want to do it right if I went with a 33, which is part of my hold up. I don't know how much I want to commit to the CMC and added cost of regearing.

I would recommend seeing how capable the truck is with 31’s. You can do some fairly serious trails and you’ll learn the limits of the truck. If you find yourself on trails where that extra clearance will make a difference then you can pull the trigger. Although these trucks seem to hold up to 33s, you are putting more stress on all the components. It’s also harder to find c rated tires in a true 33. E rated is too heavy for these trucks imo and will ruin your ride. For a DD aluminum skids are the way to go. I recommend RCI, I’ve put the weight of my whole truck on my front skid.

Installed the OEM Audio and the N2 designs remote start kit. I have to admit u was hoping for a little more from the OEM Audio, the kit and install is extremely simple and clean, I just hoped for a bit better sound. Maybe I did something wrong but I would rate it as good but amazing.

On another note, I decided to install the N2 designs remote start at the same time and had a could of questions in the process. I looked at the clock and it was after 5:30 and thought I'd call just to see if anyone answered. I called and sure enough Jimmy answered. He stayed on the phone and walked me through everything. Went above and beyond and that's an understatement. If anyone is in need of a remote start kit, hit him up! @N2DesignsInc thank you again!!!

Finally got the suspension on and wow, what a difference. ADS stuff is beautiful and works as well as it looks. Looks more level than the pic. I love the stance, now I just need tires. Trying to decide on what size to go with. Also got out to play with some toys

Now that your suspension is all on, will you be putting on bigger tires? Also how are you like the Deaver/ADS combo thus far?

I just went with 265 Duratracs. I did so for a few reasons, I didn't want the consequences of a big tire, I didn't want the weight and stiffness of an E rated tire, I wanted driveability. In person the setup looks great if you're into the skinny, meaty tire look.

As far as ADS goes, absolutely love this suspension. I have yet to find a reason to not love this purchase.
