The best wiper blades in the world suck if you don't clean them once in a while. Even as simple and dull as wipers are, the stock Tacoma blades work better than most. They stay in full contact with the windshield, which shouldn't be notable but a lot of other vehicle's wipers don't. I clean my blades everytime I clean the windshield, and 2 or 3 times a year I saturate the end of a clean shop rag with Boeshield and coat the rubber insert, then fold the wiper arms back until the rubber dries. Still have the stock wipers 45 months later, still perform like new. My other vehicles have Bosch Icon blades because the stockers sucked, hey it's not a big thing but that's $50 for beer instead of dumbass wiper blades.

I never had that problem, but I can see it be one. I still miss it.

Boeshield? Interesting. I use isopropyl and do find it annoying that Costco doesn't have squeegees at the pumps. When filling an empty tank, which is the norm for me, I can clean the windows and wipers before it clicks off.

I’m a fan of Bosch, pretty much throw those on whenever I get a new car or need new blades.

Yeah. I have used them in the past and like them. The Michelins or Goodyears that they have for cheap at Costco have sucked me in lately. It was easy to give them a shot at 2in long for each blade. It was a big improvement for me.

Ah! I have been meaning to try both given the rave reviews. I recently got a can of Kroil that needs a test drive also.

I threw some BOSCH Excel blades on my Honda Accord and am surprised that they are just as good performing as the Honda oem rubber refills that I was using for years, got the BOSCHES for $5.45 per side on rockauto even with shipping cost was a good deal, they fit right up no problems,no chattering, nice clean sweeps

You are correct about cleaning them. I clean then when I fill up on gas and when I wash my truck. I still stand by statement that the OEM ones are junk. There are better wipers out there. $40 for wiper blades every 2-3 years is nothing. Glad the OEM blades are working for you.

Agreed. Only good blades are oem or bosch icons. Everything else is a waste of money.

My OEM blades wore out this OCT after 3 years. I went to Costco got a set Michelin hybrids and while they do clear the windsheild well they do not sit nicely on the arm and also vibrate and are a little noisey. I am ordering some OEM refills.

Bosch icon. Smooth as butter. High quality and last me 3 years or more. Move big snow also which I like.

I bought rainex one's bc they were the only ones the store had that were 22 20, I put them on last night and today I noticed it seems like they don't have the same reach as the OEM ones

Every vehicle me or my family has bought new has had the crappiest wiper blades imaginable, except for my Tacoma. These things work better than the Silblades I’ve been using for years. I’ll definitely be trying to get the OEM rubber when it’s time to replace these.

I’m concerned that the dealer will try to sell me some cheap Tricos or something not OEM.

I just replaced my original wiper blade inserts after 48,000 miles on my 2017 Tacoma. These have been the best wiper blades I’ve ever had on any vehicle.

Extremely easy to install the wiper inserts too.

I did mine last week at 46,000. I just did the OEM inserts as well. Cheap and they are the best wipers I have used on any vehicle I have owned.

Agree 100%. Just changed mine out before it gets all stormy out in the PNW. I have 42k on the odo. Super easy to change out the insert, took my maybe 3 min each side.
