If you're using fancy terms like sound fidelity it's probably not for you lol. I think it's great for what it is though. I take it to the beach and toss it around, gets dropped in the sand and no issues. Take it to the pool, etc.. It's mostly used in my garage gym. For what it is, I have no complaints. It gets pretty loud and holds it's lows and highs just fine. Holds a charge decently well. I think my only complaint is that when it gets to low battery, it feels the need to continually say "battery low" every 20 seconds instead of just putting a low battery light warning or something on.

I think those are designed to just set up at camp, not really drive around with. I could be wrong.

ask my wallet about my modifications...
I picked one up. I think people are confused on Amazon that its the blinker, not the heated mirror (unless someone here has already bought one and tried it). I would suspect its the non-oem heated mirror that doesn't have the BSM marker that lights up is what people are complaining makes you lose BSM. My concern is that it may hyperflash on it's own but I'm willing to give it a shot. I think it's a safe purchase, and if not, we can send it back.

Besides the maps two other big differences are the screen resolution is higher on the Fenix (240x240 color vs 128x128 black/white) and it has 16GB of onboard storage for things like music. But ya....the Fenix a physically much bigger watch with some more bells and whistles at a higher price.
