Thanks for posting the vid. After watching, I decided to bite the bullet and buy it.
Me too. I'm just tired of the ice routine/water/freezing water bottles etc...

That's were camel camel camel comes in handy to check the price history of a product on Amazon. The Hobart 140 (MIG welder?) 3rd party new price was $333.26 in March 2019, but you probably had to pay for shipping to bring the total price close the low Amazon price. The low Amazon price was $462.79 in November 2017(probably with Prime shipping). The sales tactic you describe has been around forever, but there are deals to be had on Prime Day. One just has to decide when the deal is right for them. Good luck.

I mounted a few of those on top of the Airstream. While they are nice for the curve, but would personally suggest going with a standard panel. On the Airstream, I used 3M VHB tape to hold it down on the edges and would be concerned about flapping at highway speed of it wasn't directly against the roof and held down at the edges.

Can confirm for the X-Bulls. $6.90 (nice) more than the offer but still cheaper than Amazon even with the 20% (at least for red). Is it worth the trigger pull?

Edit: just asked my wallet, it gave me a very stern look. My mind says buy.

I purchased the X-Bull recovery boards(orange) for $59.90 in August. No bag or mounting hardware. I haven't had an opportunity to use them yet other than as a flat shovel to clear the campsite for my canopy.

I never understood why they only last a few uses. Is it because they crack? Lose traction with each use? Just not work?

    Fuck it, ordered a set.

^Saw a review after four years. Seemed fine outside of abuse.

I think the issue is (1) people leave them mounted to the vehicle and the sun weakens the plastic. (2) people spin their wheels on them and wear the nubs off. If you watch videos they claim your supposed to apply steady throttle but not try and break traction. So I’m assuming most “wearing out “ issues are self induced .
