It is my edit of 04B14 SFOB Prem on 87. It is easy to replicate. Just some copy and pasting:

This is what i was after the whole time.

Smooth for daily with power when you want it.

My third edition had it pretty close @MOC221_ has tried or is trying it.

But that linear edit with the ctrl i to the air load table pushed it into another realm of smooth predictability.

For a note:. I did not ctrl i the whole pttt table.

I manually entered all numbers as whole numbers then did ctrl i from points. I think it was from the number 41 (which is still whole) up to full. Then i ctrl i from 41 down to the 14 column.

Then i ctrl i from the 14 column to 0.

    (I think)

Anyone wanting to try just put in what tony did since mine has tip in problems.

Also note that the 9.5 range is now 5. It's easy to over look

Yeah that file is pretty good, the only thing other than a few small quirks that I would change to suit my personal driving needs would be engine braking. I will likely modify the PTTT map to reflect this.

To be clear, what mods did you apply to create that file?

Edit: NVM, I had a good look through this aft..

If you don't mind, when I get the REG key, could I try this file?

Sorry, but I am not sending out full edited tunes. I'm just not comfortable with that.

It is really easy to edit. The map names are as shown and in that order in vF. Give it a go and shoot out any questions.

Also, I did put step by step info in to the other linked map threads.

it's a good learning exercise. just learn a few points to manage your files so you keep the originals in tact, then play away and you're gtg... lots of folks here to help.

I keep thinking that about the ALC maps. Just that they relate MAF to MAP hangs me up. There could be something to keep there since air is not an ideal fluid. With the Lambdas being the same, I am much more happy.

Yes. I have one small kink in the PTTT map at 35.3%. Those values seemed to match yours. Below that, I made a small change.

    Thanks for that!

I just don't want to screw things up. Perhaps I'll just run a OV map once I get registered

if you take the file you want to modify, open it, then go to File -> Export, you will now have a duplicate of the original to edit and you can rename it however you want. then you can sit back and figure if there's any small thing to dip your toe in the water for, or not. the next step will come to you.

A nervous conscience. I am a total amatuer, not even good enough to make watchable porn. :D

I struggle enough flashing folks with OVT's full, unedited tunes. There is no way I want to be thinking about other folks living with my settings.

The OVT full tunes are excellent. We just found a couple humps, esp when fully settled. OVT showed us the way and we started messing around. As was noted, these are all minor edits that mainly affect just the throttle input and reaction to it.

Start with the small stuff. The 1D and 2D map changes. You definitely want the torque limits gone!

All the 3D and 4D maps are literally cut and paste from the ones that folks have posted, exactly like working with Excel, esp now that OVT gave us the CTRL + A / C / V shortcuts.

My mistake was looking at the maps. Ones that OVT had not changed from Stock. They made no sense and I couldn't live with that.

I would still recommend copying and renaming before opening the tune. I know that export is a Save As, but I recently (again!) found the seed file missing from my working folder. :bananadead: I have the files backed up three different ways, but . . .

fair enough for users that aren't watching what's happening in vF. that would be the safest way to preserve originals.

    :D

    ^^^^^^^^^^ All day, every day.

I'm a slave to processes. vF, esp earlier versions, were not in the normal Win processes. That stuff will always throw me off in unexpected ways. :cookiemonster:

Mailing out my dongle today. I'll be sure to post up my progress and the many questions that will inevitably follow :rofl:

Also, I assume since I did the TSB, I can no longer go back to 04B13 tunes nor can I use the old software to flash tunes for 04B14

Yes, I was just verifying lol
I like to do as much research as possible.

Since I hear that tune pack is free for legacy customers, I tried looking on his site but I think I missed where to get them
