Got these BFG ko LT245s installed at BJs. This just dosn't look right to me, should I have BJs or someone else rebalance this tire or have BJs replace it. The ride is nice and smooth for now, but I'm worried about further down the line a few thousand. Outside weights at 3oclock inside are at 9oclock oppsite of each otherupload_2020-10-8_17-23-41.jpgupload_2020-10-8_17-26-0.jpg

no, no ,no. Have them take the tire off the wheel, spin it 180degrees, and rebalance.

reworking them 180 degrees may help some

when rolling at speed.......sqirming & heating up ( only takes a few miles )

    its a different creature

big rims big tyres..........the concentric out o balance may be actually inches........FAR away from where the weights

that are attached to compensate for the imbalance

the weight machine only rotates in ONE plane !!!!!

the imbalance can be center tread or inside / outside bead

the new ‘ road force ‘ thingy doesnt apply the weight the tyre will in reality have that

    rollin .....squirming at hiway speed

if Uv ever seen a tyre bulit from scratch

    the build up of plys

    splices on each ply

they are Forced round in a mold..............rubber under heat/pressure moves

    quite a bit

No way in hell, something's seriously amiss to have that much weight to balance out. Especially on a factory wheel. Tire or wheel issue, have a them check/redo.

if U were to see a tyre build up from scratch

its amazing they are round......................only actually after they come out o mold

goodyear have their BEST .....most experienced tyre builders build the racing tyre for NASCAR

yet they come out different sizes

    not exactly round

    some dont roll straight

& at 200 mph any defect/discrepancy shows up as an issue

the rubber is not nearly as thick in places as MUDDERS are !!!!!!

Update, had them redo with 180 spin on the rim, still quite a bit of weight but its down to 6oz total. Thanks for all the input!

let us know when it starts to ‘ bump ‘

    while its possible

    tyres rarely wear in balance

same number left or right turns

same type stops.........brakes actuated same way same time same rotation

6 oz seems like a lot still.

Perhaps the shop could exchange that tire for another of same. Then try a balance.

I suspect that particular tire may have a defect from manufacturing.
