Can the steel wool remove a glass coating?

If you mean like a ceramic coating it might. But I’ve never put any coating on glass. If you had a specific coating applied I’d consult the person who applied. I’ve always just used a quality wax or spray sealant like beadmaker.

I use it on stainless steel and chrome. I've only used it on glass once and it worked fine.

If you go to a tint shop, they have little white scotch brite pads to scrub windows. They work great for removing bugs and road grime from windows and they won’t scratch glass.

I use Gtechniq G1/G2 on the windshield I'm having a hard time removing it. I tried Meguiars M105 and a wool pad on a rotary still wouldn't come off. It's now about 40% to 50% gone after 4 years. I must of use to much.

I originally bought them for exhaust tips.

I going to find a old window to practice on and try to scratch it on purpose so I can see what it takes to scratch glass with steel wool.

I just did a quick read . That product actually makes a chemical bond to the glass so it definitely will be more difficult to remove.

Glass has craters and Gtechniq recommends 3 layers of G1 to level out the craters to make it perfectly smooth. I wanted to remove the G1 to try something else.

If it's 000 or less....then yes, it'll probably haze it some. But I doubt 0000 will.....unless you just get crazy with it

DO IT! You won't be disappointed

VERY simple mod that really changes the look of the truck IMHO.

    Cheers.

Taking a trip south next week and built this quick platform for the dog’s and to have more storage. Nothing crazy.

Wasn’t happy with the market options of roof racks for my daily work/fun needs so here’s one from the mounting mock up. Still waiting on powder coat and some hardware. When I get back I’ll be finishing up my long bed cap build and will share with everyone.
