Yeah, I have one. Got it new / cheap in high school so about 20 years old, base model, was probably a couple hundred then. It's not a bad cheapo guitar.

Just got around a few months ago popping in an EMG 60 I had laying around, then swapped to an 81. Only did the bridge pick up cause didn't really want to invest more money in electronics than the whole guitar is worth. Still might get some locking tuners but it's the best it's ever sounded in 20 years. Put some spikes in the neck volume / tone locations cause the open holes bugged me a bit.

 

My buddy is picking up this "85" Roadstar II. 525 in polar white tomorrow. $400 with original case.

He just texted back and said the guy was being sketch on the case. Said he had the original then said it came with a better fender g&g case. Well, ya, the g&g cases are nice but the original Roadstar cases are worth more with an original Roadstar when selling.

My parents bought me one new from Amazon YEARS ago. It was on sale for $419. What a steal. Played it for years then realized I wasn't a metalhead anymore and traded it for a strat that I never bonded with and sold for $650... so theres that lol. Schecters are GREAT gigging workhorses.

The EMG marshall combo was fire though. Excellent pairing. Surprised even me. All i play now is Friedman/Les Paul combo.

 

Any of y'all do any home recording? I've been out of the game along time. I have two SM58s and an SM57 but I'm thinking of getting a better mic to play around with recording.

 

Traded my 2003 D28 for this Yamaha FG-TA and have 0 regrets.

Saved $1400 and it sounds very good...not to mention the transacoustic feature! Built-in chorus and reverb!

Ordered a brand new one but took this one home and I’ll return it when the new one comes. I was trying to get GC to knock off $100 for a large blemish on it but they wouldn’t unfortunately.

 

I called them a few years ago and said "look, you have to stop sending me this big catalog. You're going to get me in trouble with my wife!"

 

I recently purchased a Rode NT1 package after reading alot of reviews.
Have not had a chance to really use it much except for a couple tests.

NT-1s are fantastic mics. I've used them for vocals and acoustics years ago (2001-2003).

 

I needed something better than what I had which I think a package deal from "AKG" or something like that.

 

Yes. Great for both vocals and instruments.
I have a Mic preamp on my Avid Eleven rack and I've been dying to try it out, just havnt had the time.

 

Idk why. But lately all the gifs come up as black boxes for me.

I could probably belt out a tune or 2.
