    Hello,
I would like to present a scenario to explain my issue:
If I was on I-70 from Green River to Salina, there are no stops for at least 105 miles.

If I got out onto the side of the road for any reason, locked my truck with the key fob, and if that fob were to die from the battery or if I were to fall and break it. The 2010 V4 Manual Transmission Tacoma does not allow the engine to start, with the ignition key, without the fob unlocking the door.

I can't express how much I dislike this feature, is there a way to disable all fobs and only allow the physical key to start the truck? (I also want to add there is no "push button" start, there is a physical key and my truck requires clutch start, the fob however has to be used to unlock the door for the truck to start).

I was wondering if there is an electrical component such as removing a fuse from the fuse box to resolve my issue.

However, my gut is telling me it's a programming component to disable the fob or re-write it which is taking similar steps to program a fob which is found here:
    https://www.carandtruckremotes.com/how-to-program-toyota-replacement-keyless-entry-control-remotes.html

Personally I just want the FOB function disabled or removed, I'm thinking my last option is to take it to a Toyota shop and pay alot of money for them to disable the feature.

Any help is appreciated before I have to take it to a dealership.

The fob should have nothing to do with the engine immobilizer.
The chip for the immobilizer is in the KEY.
What you are wanting done, is already done.

Remove the fob and place it far from the truck , then try to start the truck.
    See what happens?
