Let me preface, I’m not very nit picky about my truck or cars in general, I’ve read a lot of threads already where people say “ignore it..enjoy the truck” “turn up your volume knob..” yada yada yada. But I have noticed a particular sound recently coming from my engine bay literally at 2500 RPM upon acceleration. The engine has a distinctive whistle as I accelerate exactly at 2500 RPM driving approximately 50-60 MPH. Has anyone else law had this issue?? My truck is a 2019 Toyota Tacoma TRD OR 4x4. I will be letting the dealer know on my next service visit but I wanted some peace of mind for the time being. Lmk if there’s others with the same experience!

That’s my bad I should’ve put that in my original post, no it’s bone stock, zero changes whatsoever to the internals.

It’s the ac . It’s more like a harmonic sound. Mine had it since new. Still makes it occasionally now . Didn’t had it fixed. My ac blows ice cold air even on 100+F in the parking lot or trails.

Honestly dude if it is nothing obvious I would reach in there and jiggle stuff around to see if anything is loose. If nothing is loose the air might be flowing perfectly between some wires or along a certain surface and it's causing the whistling noise. Could possibly be a belt that whines at a certain speed thanks to its harmonics.

Could be a lot of things

How come when people have these types of “sound” problems or weird noises ...

No one ever posts a video.

I believe this site lets you post only certain types of videos . So it’s kinda of a pain in the ass .

Chances are, if you were my friend anyway, you should look for a kazoo mounted near the fan.
