ALLIED STEEL WHEELS SOFT 8 TACOMA

I’ve run steel rims on every 4x4 I’ve owned for the past 25 years . So why should my 3rd gen Tacoma be any different. As most of you know there is no off the shelf commercially available aftermarket steel rims which fit late model Toyota’s, that I have found yet.... This is due to clearance issues with outside edge of the disk brake caliper and the inside edge of rim.

My goal was to eliminate the need for spacer and have a tough, steel rim at the correct offset for my needs. The vast majority of the terrain I cover does not require beadlock rims, standard rims will hold up fine for me. It I want to beadlock them later all I have to do is order rings and weld them on.

Allied wheel company made a custom set of rims that bolt right on with plenty of clearance. There engineer told me they made beadlock rims to fit Toyota’s oversees in 05,06 for some special people in our military.... The rims have a deep dish by the lug nuts to provide clearance for caliper.

These rims are custom order per customer and allied has no current plan of stocking any form of these rims, non-beadlocked. So anyone searching for a steel rim Allied or I can hook you up. Custom orders take 2 to 3 weeks to make and then ship after. Comes powder coated gloss black.

this is awesome for steel wheel fans. Do you have a price? could they be made 17x8?

 

I will have to call and check but I think these are only available in a 16 inch rim.

Rim width I would assume....could be 8,9,10, ect...

My retail price is around $152.00 not including tax, with $13 per rim drop-shipped, individually. Price can change depending on there steel cost ect...
