USAA is great to deal with. I can’t believe I waited so long to switch to them. Been happy every since. Both adult kids have them as well and nobody can touch their rates. A nice benefit to serving.

OP, first and foremost, I am glad you are okay. In the end, that is all that matters.

I appreciate you providing details here. Kind of helpful for folks who may find themselves in a similar position -- but let's hope that never happens.

Question for you, if you don't mind. How much did you owe on the truck? So you take the $41K, pay off what you owed and how much does that leave you to put down on the new truck (ballpark)? Just curious to find out if you are ahead of the game and by how much.

Of course, given that you are safe (at least I hope so) you are ahead already. Be well !

Im glad that your ok and that everything worked out with the insurance to get a replacement truck :)

Just out of curiosity what insurance company did you have? and was it your insurance or the guy that rear ended your trucks insurance that paid?

OP- glad you are somewhat ok! Please be careful what you now post on the forum here. If your back is messed up and the trucking insurance is being difficult, they may use anything against you now. Even if taken out of context. Just my thoughts and again, glad you are somewhat ok.

Tow that f*cker home and leave it in your garage if you have to. Diss assemble and sell for as many parts as possible don't allow your insurance company to do that for you and keep whats left of Kleen. That sucks but there is some salvageable stuff
