I need to replace the UCA bushings on my Built Right UCAs. I can't seem to find any information on which ones I need on their website. I'm assuming they use the OEM size bushings but figured I better find out before I start tearing into things.

Anyone know for sure? Also any opinions on using Energy Suspension UCA bushings?

Call the truck shop and just order them direct, that’s what I did when I needed misalignment spacers. I’m pretty sure you can use total chaos bushings and uniballs also

I finally found the correct folks to call (The Truck Shop). I was originally calling BR directly which their phone doesn't accept calls and they apparently also do not respond to their emails.....

I was told by the Truck Shop that the bushings are custom made and bushings from energy suspension wouldn't work so I needed to buy them directly. Bushings 7 bucks a pop (times 8).. Sleeve were 5 bucks a pop (times 4).. misalignment spacers were 16 a pop (times 4). Total spent, 175 on parts/shipping.

The chick I spoke with on the phone was super helpful and cool... easy enough to order but wished that I could have used something like Energy Suspension or OEM, just easier to source parts IMO.

I think I have close to 40K miles on it. I went to get an alignment and the dude at the firestone shop told me there was a lot of wiggle in it... I don't hit trails hard very often, mainly my hunting vehicle and daily driver....

Wow, that’s having to rebuild them about every 24 months.

I was just told the same thing. Did the new bushings fix this?
Also seeing those bushings do you think it’s really built right specific bushings?

The new bushings def fixed the issue. As for if the bushings were specific to the BR UCAs... I'm not a 100 % sure, they didn't look any different than any other bushing, but I I didn't have anything else to reference them against. @Rextinkleton93 did the install work, maybe he might have some input. While it was a little expensive for new bushings and sleeves and such, it was fast and easy to deal with the shop.

Thanks for the reply. I wasn’t excited to see what you paid but still cheaper than new UCAs I guess. And here I thought I had all my 200k maintenance done.

Yeah I hear ya in the cost, I probably didn’t need the misalignment spacers or the sleeves but I figured if Rex was going to be in there, might as well replace it all to make sure I wasn’t going to have any other problems. Next time I do it, I’ll measure the bushing to see if they are any different than other brands as far as size, my gut tells me they are using bushings from like Energy Suspension, couldn’t imagine they would took up to make their own bushings.

Ya sounds like we have the same train of thought just rebuild complete and call it good.
Mine went roughly 100k before the slop started so I. Any complain too much.
