250 on the hotend and 100 on the bed. I half assed tried to make an enclosure consisting of cardboard lined with tinfoil on the inside above the top 1/2 of the printer to help keep the heat in. I slowed the print speed down to about 70% of what I was at with pla and petg, which I think help keep heat close to the print. I'm not using a sock on my heat block.

This is just a test fit for the CNC bent tube and sheetmetal version. We will be attempting a few more organic shaped versions that will be printed in Nylon Reinforced with Carbon. It will be a learning experience.

So another project I've been working on in what spare time I have is a big Bender. 20" from his antenna to what will be his shiny plastic ass. Looking for some advice though. When I open his door I want to turn 2 servos, light an LED, and play a MP3/audio preferably a random one of an assortment. I'm a novice at programming though (that's being generous), and am wondering which is better for this application, arduino or raspberry.

I'm upgrading my audio right now, and ran into a snag for the front door. I'm trying to mount the tweeters for my Kicker KS series, but there was no bracket included. I have access to a friend's 3D printer, but don't know how to make the STL files. Wonder if one of you whiz-bang guys would be able to do that? What info would you need from me?

    Here's the speakers, for reference.

    Thanks for any help!

A lot of people I know printing ABS really like this stuff.

Hatchbox is another popular brand but I've heard a lot of people that love it and a lot hate it. I've had very good and very bad results with Hatchbox PLA but never used their ABS.

I haven't bought filament in a long time, didn't realize how much prices have gone up and stock seems really scarce right now.

Depending on your power source the arduino might be better, however if you're planning to have it plugged in vs battery, the pi is what I'd probably use. The 4b needs minimum 3v constant, not sure about the arduino, but I know you can run those off of lipo batteries. I haven't tinkered around with arduinos much, but I feel the pi could be used to control multiple features easily, and with a poehat you could power it via POE instead of a traditional cord.

Definitely going to be plugged in. Going to sit on a shelf and store some stuff inside. It's one of a couple projects I've been working on that are just waiting for me to learn programming, but the falcon heavy and light saber are going to be a bit more complicated. I might just break down and pay someone to to do the programming for me. Those will probably use batteries, but those are intended to be held and used and no one likes being tethered with a cord. Too many projects, not enough time or money...

That's how the last 5 years has felt to me. Coincidentally it's approximately when I bought my Tacoma.... :anonymous:

You're lucky, I've always had this problem. Wouldn't be as much of a problem if Oprah would accept my marriage proposal...

saw this Pro Grill TSS cover 3d file for sale on etsy, I haven't seen anything like it before, if I bought the file would anyone be interested in making it? Curious, how much does something like this cost to make?

I could do that for you. Without the file I can't give an exact cost, but finished product you'd be looking at between $8-15 ballpark. This would be printed with Onyx which is a Nylon/Carbonfiber filament.
