Weekend Mountaineer Build

So just bought this Tacoma. It’s been really tastefully modded this far and want to give credit where it’s due. I will be building on this but let’s start out with what the previous owner did thus far @resilient.strength

Started Stock:

Added the Victory 4x4 Blitz Front Bumper

Added Victory 4x4 Rear Strike Bumper

Added ARE Topper and Rock Sliders

Added Prinsu Can Rack and ditch lights

Add a snorkel

 

Built a platform for camping. Since I have the EZ Topper Lift I made it higher than just throwing 2x6 in the notch’s in the bed. There is about 13” of clearance under the frame. Still enough space to stealth camp with the topper down if need be.

I only bought one piece of plywood for the platform so there is some space on the side but will fix this in the future. Also painted all the wood black so it looks stealth in the bed and I don’t have to notice it.

Great truck. I’m considering that bumper. Any issues with the sensors?

 

Nope but I would suggest going with a full width, I’ve converted (need to update this thread). If you off road enough your gonna rip up the remaining plastic bumper like I did.

 

Please do update - would like to see and that's great advice for others considering that bumper. TBH, I might wait until the remaining plastic gets messed up so my wife gives me her blessing for a full width!

 

I’ll update it this weekend, it’s a totally new truck at this point lol

so yea I had that bumper and was winter wheeling. Ice was to thick over some mud puddles and destroyed destroyed the front end. The stubby bumper was doing a fair job at breaking up the ice but not enough metal up front to properly protect.

Even in summer I was still bumping the sides of the bumper. I did a viper cut which helped but eventually I had a buddy add some tubing to the stubby. I intend to go full replacement in future.
