Ebay Snorkel.... good idea?

I saw someone post this snorkel on Facebook and was wondering if anyone on here was running this. Looks identical to dobinsons. Good idea or no?

Damn.... there's only so many different ways to skin a cat. One of them is to simply buy an existing product, reverse engineer it, and make it and sell it cheaper.

not really... but a the same time snorkels look dope

 

Might have even come from the same factory. The eBay US-based resellers are doing the same thing as dobinsons which is purchase in bulk from China and sell for profit, stemming off probably ARB’s initial R&d. But no one wants to pay the $400+ arb price tag for a piece of intake plastic.

All these offroad outfits are the Dunder Mifflen of snorkels lol.

 

Looks like you'll receive a snokle instead of a snorkel. I don't know what a snokle is, but I hope it's worth $230.

 

These look great, are high quality. I’ve had mine for almost 2 years now and it still looks new.

 

Do the ditch lights hit the snorkel?

Also wonder if it gets in the way of the light....cutting down the lights visibility.

Those baja designs or knock-offs?

 

I made my own bracket to adjust the pods so they didn’t hit the snorkel. All pods have combo beams and is a clear projection past the snorkel and minimal hood reflection. No interference at all.

They are Dark Defense brand and work amazing. No complaints at all and are a fraction of Baja Design. Check out that brand on Facebook. It’s a deal for some awesome lights.
