Hi all, I just purchased my first Tacoma! As most Tacoma owners, I want to start modifying my pickup but am unsure where to start. What was your first mod you did to your Tacoma? Clarification, its a 2011 Tacoma double cab.

Depends on the year but I did the Unifilter mod. It’s on the sticky with the list of 2nd gen mods

ImMrYo Rear-View Mirror Lift Bracket was my first mod that want replacing broken things (used truck). Highly recommend.

Yes, I removed the seats, center console, carpet, headliner, the door covers and the cover on the rear of the cab. I first laid down https://www.b-quiet.com/products/ultimate50sqft then followed up with https://www.b-quiet.com/products/vcomp on top of the ultimate. The https://www.b-quiet.com/products/hliner was put on the underside of the hood. I was able to do all this over a weekend. Now if you tap on the doors or the top of the cab it makes a thud sound instead of sounding like a tin can.

Seems like the next mod was hood stuts. I believe they were Redline. Again coming from the Dakota I was not impressed with the hood prop on the Tacoma.

After these mods, I'm pretty sure I put window screen retainer spline in the windshield weather stripping seal to stop the whistling or buzz sound when driving at highway speeds.

Once I got the truck quiet and enjoyable to ride in, the mods just kept coming...
    and haven't stopped.
