Just took apart my OME Dakar HD Leaf EL096R pack to add some new paint + grease. Can someone tell me what the torque spec is for the center bolt that holds it all together?

Does the EL46XL AAL replace the 3rd leaf in the medium pack?

Cool thanks. Was wondering if I need longer u bolts or center pin, but I looked and they look like they've got room.

Before I pull the trigger on my order from Wheelers, anything else I may need or want to replace at the same time? I'll be removing a leaf from the HD pack and running them as mediums for now.

You might need a carrier bearing drop kit. I have the one from ARB.

I've ordered a set of BP51s to replace the OME Nitrochargers and 887 coils that are currently on my truck. How is the extended length of the BP51s compared to the Nitrochargers? Will I need extended brake lines at this point?

Just added the D29XL leaf on my 3 year old Dakars and what a noticeable difference they make in both load bearing and ride height. Deconstructing the entre leaf pack was time consuming but I highly recommend if you're on the fence about this mod.

Edit: make sure to use clamps when reassembling the pack. There are great write ups on here to make it an easy mod.

Not the perfect answer to your question, but I'm running ext travel Fox with stock brake lines, so I'd say you'll be fine with stock

Piling on a word of warning to those considering a 1/2” top plate spacer on your 886s: don’t.

The spacer did a good job leveling out an ARB and winch up front w/ HD Dakars in the rear, but the CV boots lasted about 10k miles and the next set of CV boots lasted maybe 12k. Replacing LBJs and warrantied CVs in a couple weeks.

Granted, this is all over the course of two years and 50k miles (at 265k now) but those angles do nothing but expedite the wear and tear on everything else up front. Just live with a little rake.

Hey guys! I went through about 100 pages of this thread. I didn't find too much info on my configuration. Any input will be appreciated!

    2013 4x4 4.0
full ALUMINUM front bumper (Coated in Line-x)
    Smittybilt Synthetic winch
SLEE beefy sliders with top plates

    Camper Shell
KB Voodoo shelf (probably 60lbs loaded)
Rear steel Pelfrey bumper (coated in Line-X)
    Prinsu camper shell rack

I'm guessing the 9000 series and the HD Leafs are right for me. But the front coil springs...…..886?
I don't want to be too firm up front but I don't want to get a lower spring (888) and have sag and regrets.

Also....anybody buy from Rock River? They make a comprehensive kit that includes in-house made UCA's.

Truck is my daily driver with limited weekend-warrior time due to a new daughter :)

    Thanks!!

If it were me I'd go 886x coils 9000s shocks spc ucas and hd leafs and the ome rear shocks

Agreed on the 886's. Buy once cry once. Never heard of Rocky Road but their pricing is comparable to the well-known vendors here on TW. Customer service is a big factor for me in deciding who to give my money to.

I appreciate the info. I will get the HD rear leafs for sure. I think the 886 is the way to go. I just didn't know if I'd be on a rough ride due to my more minimal weight add-ons up front compared to a full steel bumper and full steel winch.

Any reason for SPC's versus the Rocky Road kit? Seems SPC is more adjustable but with such a small lift I don't think you need much.

The Rock Road kit comes all-in, including UCA's for $1600 (fully assembled). I agree about customer service. They've been very responsive via email and phone.

Anything else I should add to the Deluxe Kit? It seems to be a very well thought out system and includes the trim packers, diff drop kit and, bushings, U-Bolts, UCA's, springs, shocks, leafs, and a fit kit to level out the truck 5/8'' up front.
