Shifts and drives like a regular truck, don't have to be told by the dealership it has to learn to... shift.

I test drove one, have read DAILY complaints on here about there trans and engine combo, and yet still its the best there is, perfect.

Disclosure, I drive a Tacoma, also own a Pilot, and realize the vid above is N=1. But do real trucks take a shit on fire roads?

Just watched this and made me realize my old ridgeline shocks were crap, i had to have the front replaced at 75k miles and never knew there were issues with them

I'd rather have that Dodge Rampage posted earlier. Would NEVER own a crappy Honda EVER.

As a matter of fact I'd rather push that Rampage before I EVER owned a garbage Honda.

Can't wait for the "yellow/ fart can with lots of stickers" edition.

I’m on my 3rd Toyota truck and every one needed shocks replaced around 75k. I think that’s par for the course.

I agree that the Ridgeline is a supremely practical vehicle that would satisfy the needs of a good portion of Tacoma owners. Would I consider one for my next vehicle? Personally no, I really want a first gen taco :D

Imagine this Ridgeline with the improved face and those copper wheels:

It would almost be a fairly decent looking truck tho

I say know your audience. Ridgeline is a very nice vehicle, but off road is one of its compromises...

More intrigued about edmonds destroying all those shocks in 11 miles..

I think the new front end makes it look more truck like and gives it characteristics that aren't Pilot like. I agree with others that have said that 80% of Tacoma owners could probably get what they need out of a Ridgeline. If you are never going to do a lot of off-roading (not just fire roads) the Ridgeline will probably do what is needed and then some. I personally wouldn't buy one but really have nothing against it. I've seen like three of four in my neighborhood and one was towing a boat.

We have a 2016 Honda Pilot and it's great. We take it on family roads trips and you really can't complain about how it drives. It has a lot of features that are great to have in an SUV especially if you have kids. Those features have been carry forward to the Ridgeline which gives you the best of both worlds a truck with SUV like features.

Agree, HPD sounds like a venereal disease to me. Considering the buyers it probably is:D

BINGO,,,.. I had four TAcomas before the 2016 turned me off. So I bought the new Ranger for $39K. I was screwing around and asked Carvana for a price on the Ranger as I wanted an SUV with a truck bed. I wanted the smooth Unibody and all the great design features the Body on Frame, the Tacoma and Ranger could not compete with.

Carvana Paid me $36K for the Ranger I paid $39K for. No brainer after a year and a half. As far as the looks , meh nothing special...Options included in the RTL-E AWD was my pick. .. There are a lot of things I love about the Honda the other trucks did not have.

I'm likely the only poster here who has owned a 3rd Gen, New Ranger and now the Ridgeline Out of the 2016 Taco, the 2019 Ranger and the 2020 Ridgeline, The ridgeline looks the worse but function over form. I have no intention of trading for the 2021 unless Carvana gives me a similar price in a year or so. So far I LIKE the SUV feel of the truck. (yes it's a truck and would be described as one if I hit and ran someone LOL)

So if anyone has questions on any of them I still participate in the Ranger Forum and TWC because I have an interest in all trucks.

BTW Carvana sold my truck for $37K...so they made a grand..
