    Blood Drive at Twenty-Six Acres Brewing, 4 oz pour of “Flash Gourdon” (pumpkin/yam beer) and a 20 oz. “Hingle McCringleberry” (raspberry milkshake IPA).

    I usually don’t like pumpkin beer but this one is subtle, not bad.

    Today my LHBS put on “Cider Day” at a new brewery in the area. I had a Dark Mild while waiting on the cider and got a growler of their DIPA to bring home. Both are very good beers.

    I also ended up with 6 gallons of fresh pressed cider. 4 gallons will be used for an apple pie graf(beer/cider hybrid), 1 gallon was made in to a cyser(mead/cider hybrid), and the last gallon plus a half gallon of store bought juice got thrown in to my fermenter that previously housed my mixed ferm saison. Hoping for a funky cider out of that one. Worst case, I get apple cider vinegar lol

    If for whatever reason you find yourself in Shelby, go to Newgrass Brewing and order their cheese curds. I don’t think you’d be disappointed.
