Before people got here Cole said the patio needed blowing off and ask if he could do it. He thought he was big stuff :D

So I have been focused on the business projects mostly and this is moving slowly but, this is the personal project. I have almost all of the parts at this point for the axles, still waiting on some suspension stuff (front coilovers, and link ends) as I have not decided 100% on the direction for the suspension.

currently have the front and rear lockers and gears from yukon.. almost put these under the Tacoma but its more our camping/dd/adventure vehicle then hard off road. axles are in pieces and ill get some photos when the front is cut and flipped.

super duty axles, 5.38s, zip lockers front and rear. the 80 is currently on 40s and has busted the front ring gear each snow wheeling year as I play with it and do offroad recoveries for some of the local tow companies.. so it needs the upgrade.

That will be cool once you get the axles under it and suspension done. You leaving them full width?

I had a 1988 Toyota several years ago and a 3/4 ton Dodge, decided to marry them together. I cut the frame on both, used the front half of the Dodge and back half of the Toyota so I didn't have to redo the engine and tranny mounts to get the 318 V8 and Dodge trans/transfer case remounted. The engine was a tight fit and I had problems with it heating. I sold it several years ago :D

Also had a 1974 CJ5 I bought from the original owner and cut it in half, stretched it a foot and put a Chevrolet 350 with an SM465 4 speed, NP205 transfer case and full width 3/4 ton axles under it, I miss it but it was useless because after I stretched it I couldn't put a top on it. I should have made a top and kept it :frusty:

This was at my parents house and shop and when I still lived at home, unmarried with no kids :D

Thanks! I had the Jeep here at work one day and a customer said "you aren't married are you?" I said no, why? He said cause you can't do that stuff when you're married

I'll take married with 2 kids over the Jeep though

Then to a piece of thin aluminum for the sample. Had to get something to send to the laser so it can be made out of stainless. We don’t have a break either so I had to use the vice.

Looks good. Why the guard on one side and not the other?

They also wanted the outside leg to move to control the flow. I had to pop rivet a piece for it. They’ll make it all in one piece.
