I have a leak in a high pressure power steering line on the rack and pinion.
Does anyone now where to get the steel tubing lines on the rack and pinion. Can not find anywhere.. Tried discount, napa, rock auto, and toyota..

Are you talking about these lines?
If so, I only see them being sold with the whole rack, Yikes. Expensive!

It's possible you can take it into hydro shop and have them make you a new one.

Granted the metal lines leaking is a relatively uncommon occurrence, so it's likely it's a dealer only part, usually it's the rubber flex lines that fail where they are crimped onto the metal coupler end.

Is it possible it was disconnected and the clamping nut was cross threaded? can you disconnect the line and carefully clean up the threads and get it to reseal?

    Thanks for reply.
Yes one of those. That's what toyota told me. But I would have a hard time spending the money for a whole rack, just to get a $50 hose. Was hoping there was another option. Maybe a companies that could make or even makes tubing with ends like that and would make my own.

It just started leaking. I tried to put a new o ring on. Was hard to find one that would work. But put the same size on both ends. The end that was not leaking, does not leak with the new ring., the other still did. Tried reinstalling a couple times and other o ring but still leaks.

I believe its leaking where they crimp the line to make the end.
Like a hairline crack. I could not see a crack but that crimp felt rough around the outside. I'm going to take it bake off and put crack detector spray on it to make sure.
It threaded on fine, turns all the way down by hand.
