The bed cover that comes with the truck is very sufficient if installed correctly and operated correctly. Make sure you hear the clicks when you close each section of the cover.

Perhaps one day Rolex will make a cover that is water resistant down to 300 meters. Until then assume that all covers leak.

The trick is to find where the water comes in from and how to manage it.

If the water comes in from the cab corners, a bedmat may be all that is needed to keep cargo dry.

If water comes in from the tailgate (likely) then a tailgate seal may eliminate.

When i had my OEM cover, i used an additional thin weather strip all around. Never leaked since then.

I have now switched out to a Powertrax XR cover, love it. Some water gets in from the small crack in the tail gate, but nothing serious.

Then you'll have to build a relationship with an AD and buy lesser covers, only to get a chance of maybe getting a Diamondback in the future.
    haha, sorry Rolex joke.

Diamondbacks leak as well....I’ve got one...it leaks. Other people have reported leaks as well.

Not a lot, but if it rains hard enough....you’ll get water.

Every bed cover will "leak" and non of them, that I've read, claim to be water proof. They provide water resistance, cover your goods from prying eyes, and that's pretty much it. For the OEM, as mentioned, you need to make sure you hear the double-click. Also as mentioned, adding a small DIY weather strip under the edge of the cover also helps. Beyond that, each manufacturer has different weights, functionality, style, security, ect.

My OEM one seals pretty good. I just have to ensure all the latches are latched and there's no play. It can be tricky, but is doable. It gets easier when you realize where you need to press and how hard.

Yep. I've had my oem tonneau cover though several good thunderstorms, a few rain storms, and a tropical storm that did quite a bit of damage this summer...had no serious leaks, just some wetness inside the diver side bed wall from that tropical storm when the wind was driving heavy rain sideways from the east.
