Like catching up with an old friend you haven't seen in far too long.

I pick this up a couple of weeks ago, just tried it this weekend. Not bad at all. I've been out of commission for a few weeks (double bypass) and this was my first sip in about 6 weeks.

You guys are making me miss Scotland. We're coming up on a year since I was at both of those distilleries. I'll have to see if I can find the photos after work tonight.

I'd love to see them. Covid messed up my Scotland trip plans earlier this year.

That sucks. I'm glad that we went when we did; everything was pretty cheap (and devoid of tourists) because we were past 'peak season' and we actually had amazing weather while we were there; only 1 afternoon of rain for the whole trip, and it turned cold overnight so we woke up to brilliant sun & frost/ice on everything the next morning. Made for a beautiful drive, because that was the day we went into the Highlands to go to Glen Etive. All in all we got super lucky and we can't wait to go back, but the next trip is on hold for a bit for the same reason your trip was canceled.

Happy Fryeday! Time for a flight. I haven't tried three of these before, so it ought to be an interesting showdown.

I haven't tried any of the 2020 batches... price of admission has me skeptical especially considering what 2019 offered. Sounds like I should take a chance on that 2020-02!

I would wager you wouldn't be disappointed. This is dangerously smooth.

Tom Petty is easily my favorite artist. I was lucky enough to see him twice, including during the last tour before his passing.

He would have been 70 on Tuesday. I'm watching the birthday bash online.

Good pour in my favorite glass before going to the patio for a stogie. Shown are the other Tom Petty glasses I had made. My rules were that the lyrics couldn't be from the chorus and they couldn't contain the song title. Big shout out to @Kanyon71 for the work on the glasses.

Miss that guy. I encourage everyone to play a Petty jam or maybe even a deep cut and think of something beautiful in life.

    Happy Birthday, Tom.

In the past two days, I have killed two bottle of Woodford. One regular bourbon and the other was Wheated Whiskey.

How was the wheated? Similar to any offerings from Weller?

I liked it. It was a little sweet and had a good finish. I think I like the regular Woodford better than it, but not by much.

I think it is better than Weller SR.
