People on here were raving about Aisin clutches so I put one in and after 10,000 miles it started shuddering when cold just like the old one I took out.

Well turns out I have to drop my transmission again and my clutch might be soaked in oil which means I'm replacing it again as well. Has anybody used a different brand clutch for a daily driver like Sachs?

I've had no issues with the two Aisin clutches in my 4 cyl. I changed the first one only because the transmission was out.

Shuddering is typically not because of a clutch defect or failure; it's caused by the flywheel needing to be resurfaced, warped or damaged pressure plate, glazed disc, or if you have oil on the disc. Except for oil contamination these problems are typically caused by abuse or user error. I'm sure you'll say that you've been driving a manual transmission for 20 years and it's not you; but if you look up the causes those are the typical ones.
