Im looking at adding another leaf to my EL96R leaf pack. Anyone done this? It says on website that EL46XL can be used with the 96R? Got pics of where leaf goes?

    Thanks in advance

Are you stacking this on to a Med pack?

I'm on the same boat wanting a little bit more of a rack. My truck sits almost level right now with bed rack and tent. probably around 200lbs.....

I put the add a leaf in a medium pack. Really good as far as load carrying/towing. I added a cheap leaf spring spacer for the holes in the end of the AAL, and fabricated whatever the center pad/shim is called out of a poly frame sheet from an assault pack(I had it on hand-don't judge). It was a good opportunity to take everything apart and lube/spray down things. I coated it all with Dry Moly lube, greased all the pads, and I haven't really had a squeak in 3 years.

I have the old CS047R (equivalent to EL96R) leaf pack with the the D29XL AAL. The AAL is the same as the 3rd leaf in the pack and it can go on top or underneath. I have been happy with my set up but it does sit level when I’m fully loaded for camping. Also, next spring I’ll have my drawer system and fridge installed which may make things worse. I’m going to weigh my truck to confirm weights and then decide whether I’m going to step up to the Deaver U402 stage 3 Expedition pack or maybe get them to build a custom pack.
Springs when they were new and waiting to be installed.

I have the CS047R pack and just added the D29XL leaf to it. I should’ve done it sooner. What size tires do you have?

Yes it is but I planned ahead knowing she’d be a heavy girl.

I knew I’d have a lot of weight for my setup so I planned ahead. They have been good leaf packs but I may need to upgrade next summer depending on how heavy I am on the scales.

That's what I thought when comparing your travel to mine. I'll either be going with a custom pack in the future as well, or Deaver's since I hear great things.
