Not sure if this has been covered off in previous posts but did you call an independent body shop? They may be able to get a better deal on the hood from Toyota than you going in as an individual.

 

I had not thought of that. I was concerned with it being a one stop shop experience as I’m always watching the kids in my free time, so I didn’t think getting everything in one trip would happen anywhere other than at the dealership. I will keep that in mind for when my finances return to where they were when I started this thread. Had a home repair pop up that wasn’t worth turning into insurance, but drained my Tacoma savings fund. So any hood scoop ideas I had are on hold for the moment.
