They don't teach a lot of stuff in college haha. I like your father in law just hearing all that stuff. Something about people who worked in plants and mills make them interesting people.

To me, leadership is a trait, not something you learn from teaching. You can learn how to utilize it to your maximum potential, but I feel that leadership is a personality characteristic. You need great leaders, and you also need great followers.

Heart of gold and his employees loved him, he was that kind of man. Started at the bottom and earned his way to the top. One of the best men I've ever known to be honest. He passed away in 2017, bless his heart.

Plenty of degrees out there that are useful and necessary, just as many that aren’t and really shouldn’t be offered. I feel no pity for the guy tossing out the rotten produce at the local grocery store who’s $140K in debt due to student loans for his Masters Degree in Gender Studies of 14th Century Extinct Marsupials.

There are some lame majors out there. Quite frankly its ridiculous. What are these people thinking????

 

They wanna feel good about themselves to help the world and rid the world of all the evils, baises, and create a one thought world.

My sister got the hard knock of reality with the Rona shut downs loosing her job and having 2 undergrads one in stage acting and the other in some niche psychology that well does nothing without a graduate degree (6 more yrs). So now she's going back to school which is a whole other .

I swear we need to put Mike Rowe permanently in charge of the secondary education sector of the government. Maybe then someone will take notice and teach people that it's a total investment thing. Like why would you invest in a degree that costs 100k or more for a job that doesn't see the return. I know maths are hard and the curtain of I got a college degree I'm worth a million bucks ideology is there but man someone needs to swift kick some reality into some of these kids.

It wont be long before you can get a liberal arts degree and collect unemployment for the rest of your life while the government pays off your student loans.
