    the bed space is one thing I go back and forth on. Topper, rack, leave it open? I'm 6'4" so putting something over it makes it sound like a PITA to get anything from the front of the bed, but having a covered placed or a rack for mounting gear is on the flip side. I've played with the idea of build my own rack with enough clearance to swing a cherry picker in and drop a transmission or engine in since the future plan is to rebuild a nice Datsun or other car on my bucket list. but at the same time our bedsides aren't solid and adding weight even with my reinforcements might over time destroy the bed so I'd tie it into the bed mounts instead of placing all the weight on the sides. Food for thought...
