I didn't even read it, just by the title it sounds like they're biased in some way.

I owned a 2017 Taco SR5, and a 2018 Taco TRD OR. Both were lemons and I got out of them and away from Toyota for a while. I have been driving a 2020 Ranger as a work truck for the past 6 months now and I am VERY impressed with it. Exterior looks aside, the performance of the 2.3 ltr with the 10 speed is phenomenal and easily surpasses the 3.5 in the Taco. The engine has amazing response and fuel economy is great (I average 24 driving like a jackass) and not to mention highway drive comfort. I hardly every used cruise control in my Tacoma(s) since the transmission would downshift at the slightest incline. As far as longevity of the motor, only time will tell however I wish the Ranger was available in the US at the time I bought the first Tacoma in 2017. Go drive the Ranger and Tacoma, it's a night and day difference.

I liked the way the Ranger drove when I test drove it: the engine was super peppy, etc. It was really just everything else: interior and exterior aesthetic, visibility, backseat, manual rear window, etc.

I know Ford essentially just plucked the international version and dumped it on us because why wouldn't they from an economical standpoint. But when I parked in next to my 4Runner at the time, I just couldn't commit based on how "blah" it looked and felt on the inside.

I'm super hyped about the Bronco (I'd probably be trading in if I didn't need the truck) and I'm definitely going to be looking forward to the next generation Ranger designed with the US market and trends in mind. But until then, the Tacoma won out overall.

If someone wants a Ford... they are going to buy a ford.. that be like someone trying to convince someone who loves Toyotas to buy another brand.. it’s not going to happen.. people love all brands of cars and trucks.. let them live!

    So. Many. Stickers.
Here's a thing, Ford recalled like half a million trucks because the seat belts light on fire... Just to give you an idea of how their engineering works these days.
